About Econoflow

Econoflow Ventilation is an Australian Company.

The idea for the Econoflow system dates back to 2004 when a group of friends were discussing the merits of whirlybirds.

In 2006 Oakworth Developments were awarded a contract to build an amenities block in a Parramatta Park. Part of the design was to install whirlybirds to allow for ventilation of the roof cavity. Council designer’s latter spoke with Oakworth to look at different methods of ventilation as vandalism was a major concern in the area.

As a result the Econoflow Ventilation system was born.

Econo Award GraphicThe system worked so well in the amenities block it was adapted for home use. The system has gone through some minor design changes over the years but essentially remains unchanged from the original design back in 2006.

The system uses at 70W continuously rated AC ducted fan expelling air at the rate of 800 CFM. This is enough to exchange the air in the roof of a standard Australian home > 7 times in an hour.
